Joint Land Use Studies

RLUAC was formed under the guidance provided by OEA through the Joint Land Use Study Program completed in 1991. OEA's Compatible Use Program promotes cooperative planning efforts among military installations, ranges and military training corridors and surrounding communities.  Technical and financial assistance is provided to State and local governments to plan and implement a Joint Use Study (JLUS), a strategic action plan to achieve compatibility between military mission activities and neighboring civilian communities.  JLUS process promotes a partnership among military and host communities through an open, continuous dialogue to address compatibility issues.OEAlogo
