February 2012 Board Meeting
Please mark your calendars now for the first Quarterly RLUAC Meeting of 2012. It will be conducted on February 16th in the Sink Room of the Fort Bragg Officer's Club, beginning with a Dutch Treat Luncheon at 11:30 am.
The tentative program for the meeting includes a presentation by NC State University Professor Nick Haddad concerning travel corridors utilized by the Sandhills / Fort Bragg Regions' endangered species -- as they move about within their territories. The destruction of these important corridors by the development community could have serious negative consequences for both the natural environment and Fort Bragg's training areas.
In addition, Fort Bragg's Director of Plans, Training, and Mobilization, Mike Lynch, will once again attempt to describe the purpose and functions of his office at Fort Bragg. His presentation at the November 2011 meeting was "sabataged" by both a PowerPoint malfunction and excessive noise from the lunch crowd at McKeller's Lodge.
